Hello! I am Jennie Born-
I am a veteran teacher with over 22 years of teaching experience in 2nd-5th grades across Virginia and Colorado. I love living in the mountains of Northern Colorado. My husband, son and I love the outdoors! You will find us hiking, biking, and walking on the local trails with our dog, Bailey.
I attended the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and graduated with a double major in Elementary Education and Psychology. Although I love teaching reading and writing, Math instruction is by far my favorite. It allows me to truly understand how my students think and instruct them using multiple modalities.
While teaching math, I noticed a common pattern amongst my students. So many were struggling due to gaps in instruction or a misunderstanding of foundational concepts.
Once those gaps were identified and retaught, students didn’t just improve, they soared to mastery. This is why I have made the transition to tutoring- to give families a simple, structured plan that actually sticks. It’s my joy to help your child reach the success they were born for!
